Birthday Ideas for Your Toddler

Two weeks ago we celebrated Ziana’s birthday for four days! Yes, four long, yet fun-filled days and they were all in our backyard of Queens. We really had nothing major planned for her birthday except the AQUARIUM which I spoke about on a prior post, but other from that it was all wholesome activities that didn’t have to cost hundreds of dollars. Now a little secret not many fellow New…

Long Island Aquarium Visit

Last week was my big girl’s fourth birthday– another milestone down and millions more to go. When it comes to traditions and making someone feel special on their day we can go all out. We celebrated her birthday the day before up until Saturday, which you can read more about on Thursday here on the blog. Since Ziana loves animals we decided instead of going to the same zoos we…

Rock Climbing with Brooklyn Boulders

*I was invited for a day to check out the facility. No monetary compensation was given. All opinions are my own* For the past two years now my mother has told all of us that she wants to go sky-diving and rock climbing. I had her get checked out by the doctor to make sure she was able to sky-dive and unfortunately she wasn’t cleared. So I knew without a…

Travel Blogger: Montauk Lighthouse

This weekend was by far my favorite weekend this year. After having Gunner in February we were confined to the four walls in our house because it was too cold or not appropriate to bring a newborn to certain places. Now that’s he’s a couple of months older and the weather has been on nice breezy days here in New York, we decided to finally take that drive we’ve wanted…

Family Camping Trip

I grew up not being a nature kind of gal, wasn’t raised around it so never cared much for it. Again, here comes another instance where my boyfriend opened me up to something new, camping. From the little that I knew, camping had to do with tents set up in the wilderness. No real opinion on it. We absolutely love doing family activities whether it be with just us or…

Sea Glass Carousel in NYC

$12 million dollars later and Battery Park now has a really amazing fish carousel for us to ride! This state-of-the-art carousel features dolphins, angelfish and other sea life darting in several directions on four rotating tracks. Apparently, the need for it came from wanting more light in Battery Park and what better way then to add such an amazing attraction for both kids and adults. The carousel opened Thursday, August…

Sesame Place Once Again!

As soon as Ziana was old enough (2-years-old) to go to Sesame Place we were jumping with joy to join my brother and his kids. An amusement park just for kids that feature our favorite furry friends? Just can’t get any better than that. Sesame Place has water rides and dry rides for everyone to enjoy, even for the parents! It has now officially become part of our yearly trips…

Walt Disney World Wednesday (Magic Kingdom AGAIN)

Day 04 & 06 At Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom Walt Disney…I think despite everything Walt had imagined, hoped and ambitiously conceptualized, I don’t think he would have imagined how iconic one (1) single theme park could have become. The opening of every Disney movie- [the castle at] Magic Kingdom. Through every tour, we were told that Epcot was Walt’s baby. Magic Kingdom comes with a higher factor for branding.…

First Camping Experience with Rangers!

As a child I never went camping and it was never I even thought I’d want to do, until I met my boyfriend. He is the outdoorsy guy who likes to do it all and camping was definitely one of his top faves. I’m one of those people who absolutely love free family events in New York so I’m constantly checking NYC Gov Parks or the Urban Park Registration programs…
