Our Traditional Halloween Family Costumes

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… HALLOWEEN! It’s our thing, as you know. Every year we plan our family Halloween costumes a year– sometimes two years ahead of time, just because we have such fun ideas we want to do.

Our Traditional Halloween Family Costumes…

Our first year we weren’t exactly family themed, at least the boyfriend wasn’t. I was Mary and Ziana was my lost sheep.

Second year of Ziana’s life we were zombies.

Third year we were Pirates.

Fourth year we were Greece characters with me being a pregnant Sandy.

And last year we were Toy Story.

Our Halloween theme this year…

I pick out every family theme and no one has any say. I like to micro-manage, sorry! So far Ziana hasn’t had an issues and has happily played along. And for the most part we always get our costumes from Oriental Trading. This year is a new year what could we possible be? Well for the past 3-years I wanted to be Wonder Woman, but I wasn’t confident enough to pull it off. Every year was an excuse. Then the film Wonder Woman came out and of course Ziana had to watch it. She loved it so much she walks around fighting the bad guys and mimicking her moves. What did she want to be this Halloween? No other than the wonderful Wonder Woman. Great, so now who will I be?

I always said Gunner would be Superman and then the boyfriend has been obsessed with wearing a Flash costume. Then there’s me.. since Wonder woman is taken, now what? I had to settle for Supergirl, which is still cute, but not my first choice.

Do you do family theme costumes? What will you be for Halloween?
