Continuing with or weekly “What The F#&%ion!?” I bring you more of Spring 2013…
Another of Springs fashion trend is “Cutouts.” I’m all about showing some skin– sometimes a bit much anyways I’m in love with the cutout looks. Left to right– Sass&Bide, Reem Acra, Versace, Vivienne Westwood. First off let me give a high-five, kiss on both cheeks and a smack on the butt to Sass & Bide and Reem Acra for putting together amazing designs that not only can be seen on the runway, but also can be seen realistically on people in the streets. As for Versace, it looks something that I could’ve found in the trash, stapled any pieces I found together and called it a high fashion dress. Then we have Vivienne Westwood– (pause, more pause, intensified pause) I think the outfit speaks for itself.

Bright and bold colors are in this spring, I don’t know when it’s not, but the runways bought it to us. I’m not a fan of garbage-bag-like exaggerated clothing so sorry Gucci and Etro, I need something semi-fitting at least. The colors however are exquisite! Akris did an amazing job with the emerald business/casual suit. Although I think it could’ve been a bit more brighter the silk-like material makes it shine a bit which is a plus. Of course you know Carolina Herrera’s electric orange was going to have me in awe! I love the peek-a-boo effect to it and the lace material covering the top of the dress. Unfortunately, this is again for a not so well-endowed woman, flat-chested women win again.

Talk about stretching it, who wants to wear a picnic blanket? I must admit I own a shirt with the checkerboard printed on it, but it’s just one piece. These are outfits made of checkerboard from head to toe, it was clearly made to get your mind all scrambled. The Louis Vuitton lime green is cute for a film portraying the 1960’s so this one gets a pass of cuteness. As for the other two? Give them away if you can.
