Public Display Of Affection

perfection <3[/caption] PDA. Public display of affection. Where to start-- First off, let me start by saying I enjoy kissing, hugging, grabbing, spanking and well the list goes on. But for all that innocent and naughty acts of affection there's a time and place-- or at least limit as to when and where to do such things. This also falls true to social media! The world doesn't need to know how much you adore or are obsessed with your significant other. I could care less and you'll just look dumb when that relationship crumbles-- that's IF it crumbles. In my younger years I was all into holding hands, hugging the living daylights out of the guy, getting tangled up in them, claiming to the world how perfect he was and perhaps having a tongue fight here and there, but all that's changed! [caption width="350" align="aligncenter"] Muy romantico

I’m no longer into all that cheesy love crap. No, I’m not out of love with love. I just don’t see the constant need to claim my boyfriend in front of the world. We do share pecks here and there, hug and share the occasional spank on the butt, but it’s never at an extreme. Nor do I gush over how amazing he is on a weekly, monthly or even yearly basis.

For some reason I love when my boyfriend gently spanks my butt or grabs my butt in public. I really don’t know why though, haha. Some wouldn’t like that. My mom was in shock when I told her I enjoyed it. Different generation mother dear!

Seriously!?

Now don’t get me wrong, I love seeing people in love and showing that love to one another not caring who’s around is beautiful, but my limit is when I see your tongues slopping around. Gross! My limit also goes as far as people thrusting their groins on one another. Ah yes, it happens! Or how about when your annoying make out session or annoying long hugs are in my way!? Go to a corner!

Sure every relationship is different and in those relationships there are rules, but let us not forget the rules when in public. Rule of thumb, keep everything at a minimum and mindful of others. Check out these “no-no’s”…

If everyone around you is swapping spit then you may do as such…

WTF!!?

Under normal circumstances this would be the cutest thing ever, BUT when you look like someone’s dad– or mom, THIS is highly inappropriate! Just sit far apart…

Way TOO much PDA

What are your thoughts? Limits?

Well, from this part of the world(Africa) where heavy attention is placed on public decency and where it’s more or less counter-culture to show a little PDA, one may be regarded as a “bad egg” or “terribly spoiled” if they go all the way. Personally, I don’t find it’s gross misconduct if I kiss or cuddle my girlfriend in broad day light. After all, I had my first kiss in one of those sunny days under a tree and had several more afterwards on the same spot. So girl, if you feel like kissing him in the mall or subway, go ahead girl. Ain’t no other time more perfect to make out or show PDA than when you guys are together. It’s a way of telling the whole world that you are a couple.

Guess I am old fashioned but I believe there is a time and a place for everything. Kids see so much display of affection and they see many divorces as well so they just follow the pattern. As a parent, I believe we set the foundation and hope they make the right decision and yes have respect for themselves then they can have respect for others.

Yes, I definitely agree. Being a parent I have to be more mindful of that, which is still hard sometimes.

Back then when I was a teen, I used to do that without care in the world. However in a country so small and so conservative where I came from, doing such thing in public even if you are married considered to be indecent and people will start to eyeballin you sooo disgustingly. Worst…you will be arrested for “Public Indecency”

It’s fine to a certain extent, but so many people take it much farther it’s gross! I can control what my kid sees, but I can’t control what they see when we go out. It’s a form of respect to others as well.
