The Christmas holidays is 70+ days away! I’m sure you’ve already seen all the Christmas trees, outdoor decoration and home décor splashed everywhere! I never understood the need to have to rush the Christmas spirit, until it hit me. No, it’s not just a marketing scheme by companies, it’s all about preparation, preparation, preparation!

If you don’t prepare things run out of stock, you have crappy ideas of decorating your home and those lines just get insane. So, I get it, think in advance and put those feelers out now to prepare your home, gifts for family and friends.

A couple weeks ago I attended the Sam’s Holiday Event where they showcased a few of the items that are going to be sold exclusively at Sam’s and I was all for it.

Here are a few of those items that Gunner (my partner for the day) and I loved-

Toys

  1. The first thing Gunner saw and quickly gravitated towards was the Shopping Mart ($99). This baby includes 65 accessories like an electronic cash register, real fake money, working conveyor belt, working microphone, light and sound scanner. I was super impressed and really want it for the kids, not me. Also, I’m just going to put it out there– The Melissa and Doug version retails for almost $200!
  2. Now, I’m not a Ryan’s World groupie, but the kids like him so next up on my list is the Ryan’s World Mystery Adventure Playset ($34.98). This is a surprise unboxing with simple play, but still filled with some imaginative fun. There are 3 possible themes in the surprise eggs; Red Titan, Combo Panada and Astro Ryan. The playset also doubles as a storage case with its iconic egg styling.
  3. Other fun sets are the Deluxe Baking Sets (24.98) which comes with 26-pieces and are made to be used in a real kitchen. There are also 3-styles to choose from; Under The Sea, Rainbows & Unicorns and Out Of This World. Get all the ingredients to make a delicious desert and start whipping it up in the kitchen!
  4. Okay, this isn’t exactly a toy, but super cute! This is something I would actually want for the kids since we had lice before– Animal Sleeping Bags. There are 6 designs to choose from, it has a velcro closure allowing for easy packing and it offers faux fur plush for comfort!

Home

For those who have homes let’s start with a couple outdoor décor and move into the interior (my fave)! My favorite part about the holidays!

  1. I love word signs and what better was then the simple, yet gorgeous word JOY ($89.98)  sprawled out on your front yard?
  2. Another pretty Christmas thang for your front yard are these pre-lit mesh ornaments ($79.98)  that come in either gold or red. These larger-than-life ornaments will light up your front yard–making your house the talk of the block!

The interior of your home is just as important and my favorite since that’s all I can decorate living in a NYC apartment.

  1. I love a good Garland, and the 9’ Pre-lit Decorative Red Garland ($44.98) gives you all the feels! Just look at the red and gold ornaments in various shapes, deluxe greenery with foliage and gold-painted, natural cones.
  2. A nice addition to add around the home are these Pre-Lit Alpine Trees ($99.98) which come in a set of 3, all in different sizes and are flocked. You can group them together or separately to add more Christmas joy! They add the perfect rustic look to any home!
  3. If you follow me closely on Instagram you know I love changing up my home with pillows. Sam’s has just the perfect pillows to spice up any home décor.
  4. Ornaments are essential for any home and these 76 count shatterproof ornaments helps dress up your tree or home for only $29.98. Sam’s also has a few different colors available.

Gift Giving for the Holidays

  1. I saw these Slam Jam Bluetooth Speaker during the Sam’s Event and loved them! They come in 15 different colors, it’s waterproof, it floats and connect wirelessly to additional Slam speakers.
  2. One of favorite at home things to do is to play with the Nintendo Switch, but it’s a bit pricey. Well, now they’ve come out with the Nintendo Switch Lite. Three different colors, smaller and lighter than the regular Switch, but it’s still perfect for on-the-go gaming. Plus, the price point is a lot better $199.98!
  3. I love when I can buy bulks of things, and one great gift idea are these 6pk. Travel Mugs for only 19.98!  You can give them all to one family or even better open the package up and gift them away individually, just add something else and you’re done. Perfect for someone you don’t want to leave out, but also someone you don’t want to spend so much on!

There’s so much more available including food and wine, which you’ll want to check out during your next visit! Share your favorite down below!
