Engagement Rings Are A Scam!

Valentine ‘s Days, Christmas, weddings and even engagement rings are a scam and has been for years! We hate to love it and refuse to participate in throwing our money away based on what “tradition” is today in society, yet most of us usually fall for it. I’ve said for years that weddings in particular were a waste; you get headaches, high blood pressure from anxiety and stress due to the planning, you put all your hard earned cash towards an extravagant ceremony to parade your love for one another in everyone’s faces, just to come out broke with a piece of paper that’s similar to your birth certificate just a different last name. ANYWAYS, this is not the point of this post-

The point is the step before the marraige– the engagement ring! We all want that gorgeous diamond rock on our pretty little index finger to show everyone how much our beau’s spent on us, but how the heck did it start? Oh, I’ll tell ya!

Asking your partner for their hand in marriage with a nice diamond is nothing new for our generation. It was less than a century ago that De Beers company decided to hog all the diamonds, jack the prices up and have us all think that a “diamond is a girl’s best friend.” We are all brain washed to think that getting that diamond ring is what’s needed when you want to take the next step, but it isn’t and it shouldn’t be! I say that for all of you because I still want my expensive ring ๐Ÿ™‚

No one can tell you better or show you what the real deal is with some humor other than College Humor themselves! Make sure to watch to video below and tell me your thoughts! Oh, and let’s start a riot on their Facebook/Twitter page for not having me act on the skit!! ๐Ÿ™‚
