Unplug (Short Film)

What an eventful way to start the week by acting in a short film in the beautiful New York City. As you may know I’m in the midst of building up my acting resume to get my reel together and submit to more projects. Although it was a bit cold it didn’t bother me or the other actors much since we had a blast filming with producer Edward Charette of Back On Clock Productions.

The film is called “Unplug” and to give you a quick synopsis it’s basically how disconnected people are from one another due to technology. I’ve often fussed about the topic– things back in the day (as little as 10 years ago) was very different, people had to actually have face-to-face contact which in this day in age is rare. We filmed in Queens, headed to Soho, shot on the Brooklyn bridge and ended in Grand Central terminal. It was a great cardio exercise walking all over the city.

Edward Charrette, has been working since 2006 freelance film crew on a variety of independent films in the NYC area, including work for MTV’s Scratch division. Back in 2008 he started his own production company called “Back On Clock Productions”, which up until THE THIN LINE, focused mainly on commercials, music videos and photography. Here’s a sneak-peek of “The Thin Line” so you can better familiarize yourself with how great Edwards work is:

I was able to get some shots of my day, although not great it was the best I could get— and as soon as I get my hands on the finish product I will of course post it 🙂
