The Best Winter Vest

With cold weather in Fall and Winter the knit sweaters come out, winter coats peek through and our favorite vests make their entrance. Every year I usually add about one new vest to my collection and when I saw this sweet American Rag Sherpa-Lined Belted Vest it whispered my name! (For some reason the website only has the plus size displayed). The price originally was $80.00, but with Macy’s great sales it went down to $45. Sure, that’s a lot, but this is a piece that looks so stylish and can be worn for years to come– now that’s an investment.

Let me explain what sherpa-lined is, as I was confused once too. This lining is made from fabric that is a mix of 100% polyester and cotton. It is made to look like sheep’s woof and is incredibly warm with a wooly feel. The inside looks like faux fur and the outside imitation suede. Sherpa is used to line all-weather clothing at a fraction of the cost of the real thing. Cool huh? With a belt that cinches at the waist it will give your body an hour-glass figure. Not to mention this season has been all about plaid.
