*Swimming, Reasons Your Child Should Learn To Swim post is in collaboration with Goldfish Swim School*
Remember that time I nearly drowned on the vlog LIVE while I was trying to catch my daughter after she jumped off the diving board? No? Well check it out here!
After thinking back on my near death experience, I came to the realization that I really don’t know how to swim. In fact, I’m a bit scared of the water. I never realized how important it was to know how to swim. Thankfully, a month before the whole ordeal I had placed both Ziana Eliz and Gunner in swimming classes at Goldfish Swim School.
My partnership with Goldfish Swim School is by far one of my favorite and most important ones. I love being able to have the kids in after-school programs and figured why not add this fun sport into the mix, but never realizing that learning to swim is extremely important. So important it can save their lives. The kids enjoy going to the beach, love jumping in pools, plus we’re surrounded by bodies of water. If “The Day After Tomorrow” is any indication of what can happen I want these two to swim through those tides with ease!
Drowning is still one of the most common causes of accidental death in children, so being able to swim is an essential life-saving skill. If your concerned about your child’s age, don’t be. They can start as young as 3-months old with “Mommy and Me” classes.
I wanted to share a couple added benefits of swimming that I came across while browsing the world-wide-web:
1. It’s a fun way to release stress after a workday. (Enjoy)
2. Swimming can be a life-long sport for you as you gracefully age. It helps to decrease disability and aids in the quality of life in older adults.
3. It’s a great form of physical activity which involves the entire body. It requires kids to actively involve their bodies and minds while they have fun in the pool. (Sky Above Us)
4. There are a lot of colleges that offer swimming and diving scholarships, which will save you big bucks!
Now, time for the giveaway! Thanks to Goldfish Swim School I was able to get two free months of swim classes for your chid. They’re located in various places in the United States, but mostly on the East Coast. So take a look if they’re in your area and enter below.
