Potty Training Again…

This conversation is sponsored by Pampers at Sam’s Club. Opinions are my own.

That’s right, potty training a boy again! You may remember a few months ago where I attempted to potty train Gunner, my second born. You may also remember how miserably I failed. Oh, you missed all the fun? Watch it here.

So, after my failed attempts I gave it a break, but I’m ready to try again. With school out for the summer, I figured it be the perfect time to lock myself indoors for 3-4 days in a row to really get ahold of this potty-training thing. That’s how they do it?

I need to be fully prepared to begin and this partnership with Sam’s Club and Pampers Easy Ups Training Underwear couldn’t have come at a better time! Stocking up for all the accidents that will come because for some reason Gunner enjoys the stench that comes from his behind.

Besides being ready with the Pampers, I need to prepare other things- I’ve done the whole “Let him watch and learn,” well, daddy has, and he has yet to be motivated.

Other tips I’ve been given:

  1. Show him that his favorite stuffed toys potty too
  2. Decorate the potty
  3. Get awards ready such as crackers or lollipops
  4. Set aside some naked time. This scares me!
  5. Stay in for at least 3 days

And staying in for a minimum of 3 days is essential. I also believe that’s one of the main reasons I failed—I was going out and about on the second day. MANY accidents happened!

So, I take this collaboration with Sam’s Club and Pampers Easy Ups Training Underwear a sign to try again! I’m ready, are you ready to see me try again?
