My Mini Vacation

As you may have noticed I only posted three times last week because I really didn’t have any time to write, research and take a moment to myself to think about what’s going on in my head, haha.

Reason being was that my boyfriend was on vacation last week and being the outdoorsy kind of guy he is we were out everyday ALL DAY! Fun! Yet, exhausting.

We ended up going to Pennsylvania to visit his family, attended a fair, went to the Bronx Zoo, Splish Splash, and a BBQ. And of course I bring you photos–

How amazing is this piggy!? Cheetah print ๐Ÿ™‚

We faked a casual moment lol

Z didn’t ride the train by herself! She also didn’t want to get off so I had to handle a little tantrum .

Great ride, but scary as death! Seriously, as soon as I went on my eyes were closed, haha.

A bit out of focus, but it wasn’t me who took the photo so please understand ๐Ÿ™‚

Next part of our vacation was visiting the Bronx Zoo. We ended up going Wednesday and I found out that on Wednesday’s you don’t have to pay the admission fee, which is I believe $16, they take donations which you get to decide the amount. We packed our own lunches in order not to spend on the ridiculous prices for chicken tenders, ice-cream and so on.

Who doesn’t want to own a penguin!? So cute.

Our nation’s bird. This thing is so surreal it almost looked fake.

He ripped his heart out and devoured this little mouse– it was pretty amazing.

Z walking with assistance. This girl wants to walk so bad, but won’t walk! Talk about lazy and complicated.

The next day we ended up going to Splish Splash. We had originally intended on going to Splish Splash on Tuesday, but the weather didn’t allow it. Just an hour away from my parents house in Long Island so the drive was pretty quick.

It’s not a huge water park, but it was still fun. The lines however, weren’t so much fun. But there’s a way to skip those long lines! You can pay for the H20 pass which allows you to skip the lines. Admittance fee is $39 and for $30-50 on top of that you can get the H20 pass (side eye). I definitely understand why the pass is so costly, but COME ON! I deserve a free one ๐Ÿ™‚

Maybe next year I’ll be honored with some free passes. Wishful thinking–

Ziana with my daddy! She’s a little mermaid who loves the water.

Z with both my parents.

This kid does not care for swings!

Who doesn’t love BBQ’s? ANd it’s even better when it’s with family ๐Ÿ™‚

The two half white kids in the family, haha. Z and her cousin Matthew.

Z helping with the grilling.

My cousin Amy and I

That’s about a wrap on my little vacation this past week. Next year Ziana will be older where we can do more activities like visiting the good old Sesame Place I grew up on. Who knows?
