I love murder mysteries and can watch all types of movies and news reports on them, my favorites are Nancy Grace, Dateline and 48 hours. The most recent story that has made headlines is the Jodi Arias trial– the apparently overly obsessed woman who shot her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander in the head, stabbed him 29 times and slit his throat from ear to ear. Unbelievable right?
During one of the Pre-Paid Legal conferences
So their love story began when Alexander was at a Pre-Paid Legal Inc. convention on Las Vegas when he introduced himself to Arias in 2006. Alexander lived in Mesa, Arizona, at the time, and Arias lived five hours away in Palm Desert, California. Arias says she and Alexander started dating in February 2007.
Now this is the obsessive part–
After a short while Jodi had read texts that Alexander sent I another one and broke up with him. Alexander continued to see other woman and one night had got his tires slashed while at the house of another woman. His tires were again slashed on a different occasion. THEN, one of the women Alexander was seeing got an anonymous email, “If you let him stay in your bed one more time or even sleep under the same roof as him, you will be giving the appearance of evil… You are a daughter of God, and you have been a shameful example. Be thou clean, sin no more.”
Of course, no one knows for sure if Jodi did these psychotic things, we are all assuming, but COME ON! Who else could it be? We can let that slide since there’s no way to prove it– for now.
As a criminal justice major we were always made to stand firm to the quote, “innocent until proven guilty.” But let’s get serious, sometimes these so-called innocent people have digged themselves such a huge hole it’s clear that they aren’t innocent.
That holds truth when Jodi gave the police three different accounts of her whereabouts on June 4th, 2008 and how she was or wasn’t apart of what happened to Alexander.
Story #1: Jodi stated she was not with Alexander at the time of his death. She quickly retracted that statement once they found her bloody hand print at the scene of the crime.
Story #2: Jodi was in fact at Alexander’s home when they were attacked by two masked persons during a home invasion.
Story #3: Jodi killed Alexander in self-defense. Apparently, he had such a temper that no one, but herself knew about.
I don’t know it anyone knows this, but I’m just going to put it out there… Changing your story about your whereabouts is never a good idea. Furthermore, leaving your bloody handprint at the scene of the crime is even worse.
Also being reported is that the day after having allegedly killing Alexander, Jodi went hanging out with a mutual friend of there’s with quite dramatic changes to herself; long sleeve short in the summer, bandages all on her hands and having went from blonde to brunette. Of course changing your hair color isn’t a sign of having committed a heinous crime, but Isn’t that what Scott Peterson did after killing his pregnant wife? Scott changed his appearance over and over as to forget about what he had done by changing his outward appearance. Interesting indeed! The other huge obvious question is how does someone who apparently killed someone in self-defense hang out the next day having acted so normal.
Police also found a digital camera on Alexander’s dryer that had pictures in them of him naked. The timeline goes as follows:
At 1:40 p.m., a photo shows Arias posing for the camera nude on Alexander’s bed.
At 5:22 p.m., a photo was taken, and deleted, showing Alexander naked in the shower.
At 5:30 p.m., there’s another photo of Alexander.
Minutes later, he was dead.
Police say a photo time-stamped 5:32 p.m. shows Alexander’s dead body on the bathroom floor.
Who took these pictures? Who else? There is no way that within that 8 minute time frame Alexander got so furious and attacked Jodi, he was just posing for her naked! Who is she kidding?
Jodi is so arrogant and confident in her case that she has said, “No jury is going to convict me … because I am innocent and you can mark my words on that. No jury is going to convict me.”
