This Valentine Mantel Idea was made with everything from Oriental Trading! The hearts that are flying off the fireplace onto the wall is definitely a nice touch.
In our home Christmas is officially over, which is rare since I always like to keep our Christmas tree and the rest of the decor well into February. But, folks, I was tired of those damn needles prickling at my toes! The downside of having a real tree. Now, my home is looking a bit bare– I’m far from being a minimilist, so when my home isn’t filled with things I don’t need (but think I need them) I get some blues. I’m still loving my curtains, as you may remember, and the red accents looked gorgeous!
That’s when it hit me– next holiday up is Valentine’s Day! An opportunity to dress ourselves up with a fancy outfit and dress up our home. I’m in… me and home decor go together like Chip and Jo. Since the whole feel of my living room is farmhouse inspired I need to always be cautious of what may or may not fit into the decor. Luckily, reds and pinks are a nice little touch for the next month. Also, I’m only putting a bit of effort into my living room because otherwise, it’ll get a bit expensive and with already no room in my NYC apartment, it’s just not possible.
Snopping through Oriental Trading there were a few things that caught my eye and you guys I might just go out of control– but here are a few of my favorite. Guesses on which one item I DEFINITELY added to my cart?
