Christmas Tree Farm

Christmas Tree Farm
christmas tree farm near me

Another year and we have yet to break our yearly Christmas tradition hunting our tree down at Santa’s Christmas Tree Farm out in Long Island. When we go looking for a tree we walk for a good 25 to 30 minutes up and down– some are still growing, others are too tall, some aren’t full and some just don’t speak to us. Yes, inanimate objects speak to me. We get a tree that can at most be about 9-10 feet tall. Our floor to ceiling space is 8 feet, but we always cut it down so that the tree we get is fuller. Doesn’t make much sense, but that’s the way men (my boyfriend) thinks and so we oblige!

We find our tree, cut it down with the help of the kids and throw it on top of the truck. Easy peasy! We then head indoors to the store and always get a new ornament to place on the tree along side our yearly colorful balls, which at this point I’m sick of. Once upon a time I lived in a colorful world– or as my boyfriend calls it a “skittle world.” With my love for the farm house lifestyle I didn’t want to do colorful skittle crap or have an all red and green house so I figured we just do a lit tree and call it a day. But of course my obsession with Pinterest got me wanting a well lit flocked tree with some hints of red balls and… Wait, I’m actually not going to show you any pictures of our tree on this post so why am I writing all this and continuing to write? Why don’t I just delete this? Anticipation! I guess you’ll just have to stay tuned for another post!

You’ve seen us every year, 1, 2, 3 having fun so what would it be if I didn’t share some of our fun this year? ENJOY!
